Protein to Disease
For our project, we did it on Asperger's disease. Our project was about choosing a genetic disease that is a protein caused disease. My team and I decided to choose Asperger's syndrome which is on the autism spectrum and is a chronic disorder which can last for years or a lifetime. It is a disease where there is a change of the levels in elF4E and NLGN1 (Neuroligin 1). Before further explaining this, I will explain Protein Synthesis first to further understand the science behind the proteins that cause Asperger's disease.
Protein Synthesis
Protein synthesis is the making of proteins which goes from DNA then through a process of transcription which then leads to RNA and goes out of nucleus through a process of translation which leads to the making of a protein. I will add more info later.

Reflection
One thing that I felt I handled poorly is not being able to get much research done. I tried to, but I couldn’t contribute much that hasn’t already been contributed. I’ve had this problem with the previous project (seemingly) so far. I am improving a bit on the research and even though I couldn’t contribute that much in research, I could in writing the script. I helped with the script and then we all talked in the podcast. It went great overall. We had a few people interrupting when we talked, but we managed to get it done. Overall, I think it went great.
